Caroline Achaintre, Elizabeth Price & George Shaw | Selecting Work, Influences & Advice | BNC 2017

Watch Caroline Achaintre, Elizabeth Price and George Shaw talk about the selection process for Bloomberg New Contemporaries 2017 and advice for future applications.

In 2017 Bloomberg New Contemporaries launched across BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art in Gateshead and BALTIC 39 in Newcastle Upon Tyne, before touring to Block 336 in London.

New Contemporaries is the leading organisation supporting emergent art practice from UK art schools. Since 1949 we have consistently supported contemporary visual artists to successfully transition from education into professional practice, primarily by means of an annual, nationally touring exhibition. We continue to be unique in the level of support that we offer emerging artists through our open call and associated programmes, and remain responsive to change in the art world and the needs of emerging practitioners.
