The First Book of Maccabees has been brought to life with this dramatized recording. In one approved Marian Apparition, Our Blessed Mother makes reference to both the first and second books saying: "Read Maccabees," as if these events enclosed in it is in some way a fore shadow and/or significant in the time of chastisement to come.
