A lot of people come to me asking about how to use social media for their businesses. One of the most common questions is “How many social media platforms should I use, and which ones are the best?”
In my experience, there are three types of platforms that almost EVERY business owner should take the time to build a presence on.
The first platform should be a video-hosting website, I recommend Youtube. Videos are a great way to build relationships and trust with a wide audience quickly. The most important part of using videos in your marketing plan is to make sure you have a consistent schedule that your audience can depend on. It can be once a week, twice a week, daily, or whatever you choose, so long as it’s consistent.
The second platform that I recommend is LinkedIn. LinkedIn is a great place to post written content where people can see how your mind works and your thought process. It’s also a great place to start building connections. Again, posting consistent content is the key to getting attention from a wider audience.
The third platform you should use is a podcast. Podcasts are becoming more and more popular by the day, and there’s no shortage of people looking for sales advice through the various podcast platforms. This means they’re great for getting people’s attention and bringing them into your wider community.
