Sai Ram. My name is Lavanya and the reason why I play flute is because flute is the instrument of Lord Krishna, my favorite incarnation of God. Flutes are unique instruments that simulate the melody of the wind. Krishna uses His flute to play beautiful melodies and enchant all beings. His flute is embodied with cosmic energy and when the cows and gopis hear its wonderful tune, they lose themselves in Him. Even mother nature responds to Krishna’s flute, which causes river banks to expand while the opulent waters desire to touch His divine lotus feet.
