In Surabaya City Anniversary 726th HJKS which falls on May 31, 2019, Surabaya has won various national and international achievements. Most recently, Surabaya won the Lee Kuan Yew World City Prize from the Urban Development Authority (URA) and Center Liveable Cities (CLC) in the Special Mention category.
Lee Kuan Yew Award is a benchmark for a city that can be considered as livable cities. Surabaya deserves to be the most comfortable and livable city candidate in Indonesia, because it shows progress in terms of infrastructure improvements, utilities, public spaces, accessibility, transportation and other criteria.
