This GIS Tutorial is about how to Download K Factor Data & How to Calculate the K factor For Large Area Using R Software & ArcGIS 10.4.1!! Soil erodibility accounts for the influence or response of soil properties on soil loss during rainfall events. The physical properties of the soil play an important and long term role on soil erosion compared to land management practices. Soil structure affects k because it affects runoff. Therefore the effect of physical properties of the soil should be evaluated more precisely to determine the erodibility than land management. The sensitivity of K factor to the soil texture has been analyzed. This factor quantifies the cohesive character of a soil type which depends upon soil chemical and physical properties, thus contributing to its erodibility potential.
