The Cossack ski drill is really good for engaging you core whilst skiing, which is an important part of maintaining balance. It also helps to maintain a "quiet" upper body, which is important for skiing in balance (the legs should be doing the moving)! I still have work to do as you can see the occasional over adjustment - check back in a few weeks to see if I have improved! To do the drill:-
Just cross your arms and keep them at shoulder height in front of you like a Cossack dancer. Once you get the idea, why not add some upper / lower body separation by trying to keep the folding arms facing downhill and try to turn your legs under you!
