This was my first time on this track for an advanced cornering training. For most of the day we had everything from heavy rain to pretty wet conditions. Actually it was good to do some turns in very wet conditions as it helps to build confidence for rainy riding days. This video is almost the entire turn (I cut the first half lap). One of the instructors passed me while I was fiddeling with my camera remote - a great invitations to follow is line and chase him through the field of other riders.
It is fun to watch him ride is BMW R 1200 GS with in full hanging-off position and dragging knees. The track was still wet and just starting to dry off. After almost a full day of riding on a wet track we could wait for the dryer conditions.
This was also the first time I got to put the my new tires to the test. I switched from Pirelli Scorpion Trail II (ST2) to the Continental Road Attach 3 (CRA3) tires at the beginning of the year. I have not ridden the ST2 in these conditions but the CRA3 had excellent grip in wet and dry conditions.
