Former JNUSU president Kanhaiya Kumar filed his nomination from Begusarai in Bihar as a CPI candidate. Tanveer Hasan of the Rashtriya Janata Dal and Giriraj Singh of the BJP are strong contenders from the region. The CPI meanwhile has won only once from Begusarai Lok Sabha constituency and that too in 1967. What are the chances of Kanhaiya winning from his hometown which is a hub of politics in the region?
