Hunting Serial Killers | Deadly Recall: The Mind of a Detective

Hunting Serial Killers | Deadly Recall: The Mind of a Detective Detective Pat Postiglione can recall details from all of the cases he worked throughout the course of his long career, but the memories of investigating and capturing serial killers are some of his most vivid.

In this episode, Pat shares his personal recollections about how he solved some of these notorious cases. 67-year old Bruce Mendenhall, aka the Truck Stop Killer, was captured after Pat recognized his suspicious long-hauler at a truck stop near downtown Nashville, then linked him to several other homicides spanning several states. Paul Dennis Reid, aka the Fast Food Killer, targeted random victims at three different fast food establishments. The killing spree terrorized the city of Nashville until Pat helped identify and capture Reid. And in one of his first serial cases ever, Pat describes how a yearlong investigation finally led to the capture of elusive Texas-based killer Michael Magliola, who confessed to at least twelve murders.
