Warning: This BJJ Position Can Be a Knee Ripper

Warning: This BJJ Position Can Be a Knee Ripper Today's video is about the Lockdown in BJJ which can be an effective position to use but can also be a knee ripper.

Today's question comes from a guy who had his knee tweaked from the Lockdown during his BJJ training.

I also share a story about how back in the day after the Eddie Bravo vs Royler (number 2) match my students were really interested in the position.

So I showed lock down. And within about a month one guy ended up injuring two teammates.

With that said, I wanted to use this video as a way to help someone in Brazilian Jiujitsu understand how to escape or counter the position so that they don't get their knee injured.

And also, I share the idea that if you use lockdown. You want to use it with a technical aim. Not simply cranking people's legs and knees. Use the technique to get to a better spot.

So if you're having trouble dealing with or escaping the lockdown. I hope this technique is useful!
