Our 10 month old Cockapoo developed shaking and labored breathing after a muscle injury to his front left leg. Our vet couldn't work out what was causing this rhythmic shaking and faint thumping sound, so he was sent to the nearest referral centre. Here he underwent an ECG scan, CT scan, MRI scan and spent time with a Neurologist. None of the above scans found anything untoward and various medications made no difference. Eventually he was referred for physiotherapy, which also had no effect on the shaking. One year on, the vets could never work out what was wrong with him, but he is otherwise an absolutely fine, happy and healthy dog. He still has a jerky chest movement when breathing, apart from when in a very deep sleep. Hopefully this video may come in helpful for anyone else who has a similar issue, as it appears to be relatively unknown.
