রাজধানীর বাংলা একাডেমি চত্বরে অমর একুশে গ্রন্থমেলার শিশুপ্রহর। শিশুদের অভিভাবকসহ স্বাচ্ছন্দ্যে বই কেনার সুবিধার্থে অমর একুশে গ্রন্থমেলায় শুক্রবারকে শিশুপ্রহর হিসেবে ঘোষণা করেছে বাংলা একাডেমি। আজ সকাল এগারোটা থেকে শিশু-কিশোরদের ভিড় সোহরাওয়ার্দী উদ্যানের প্রবেশ গেটে। কেউবা বাবা-মায়ের হাত ধরে, কেউবা বন্ধুদের সঙ্গে আবার কেউবা শিক্ষকদের সঙ্গে এসেছে প্রাণের মেলায়।অমর একুশে গ্রন্থমেলা ঘুরে দেখা গেছে, মেলার সোহরাওয়ার্দী উদ্যান অংশে ছোটদের মজার মজার সব বইয়ের স্টল এবং বিনোদন কেন্দ্র নিয়ে সাজানো হয়েছে শিশু চত্বর। শিশু চত্বরে প্রবেশ করলেই মনে হবে এ যেন কোনো শিশুরাজ্য। যেখানে শিশু-কিশোরদের রাজত্ব। এখানে রয়েছে শিশু-কিশোরদের সায়েন্স ফিকশন, ভূতের গল্প, কৌতুক এবং ছড়াসহ নানা ধরণের সব বই।শিশু চত্তরের শিশুরাজ্য স্টলে দেখা গেল কচিকাঁচাদের উপচে পড়া ভিড়। স্টলটিতে রনজিৎ সরকারের ‘ছোটদের মুক্তিযুদ্ধের অজানা গল্প’ ও ‘সুস্মিতা নিয়মিত স্কুলে যায়’ নামক দুটি বই এসেছে।
শিশু-কিশোরদের বাড়তি আনন্দ যুগিয়েছে সিসিমপুর স্টল। যেখানে বাচ্চাদের জন্য আকর্ষণীয় সব মজার মজার বই সাজানো রয়েছে। যারমধ্যে রয়েছে ‘ হালুমের গ্রামে যাওয়া, টুনটুনি যখন বড় হবে, ঠাকুরমার ঝুঁলি, সিসিমপুরে দাদা ভাই আর আমি টুনটুনি, মিতু একদিন সিসিমপুরেসহ নানা ধরণের সব বই। এছাড়া বাংলা একাডেমির শিশু-কিশোর প্রকাশনা, ছোটদের বন্ধু ঝিঙেফুল, কিশোর ভূবন, শিশুবেলা, শিশুঘর প্রকাশনী, টোনাটুনিসহ ছোটদের বইয়ের অনেকগুলো স্টল রয়েছে।
