Arrow Selection - How to Choose the Right One

Arrow Selection - How to Choose the Right One What is the right arrow for you to use with your bow? This video addresses that question and goes into detail to help you understand why you should choose one type of arrow spine over another. Also, when trying to figure out the overall weight of your arrow for trying to create as much speed as possible for target archery, multiply 5 grains per pound of draw weight. Example 70 pound pull x 5 grains = 350 grain arrow. For hunting, people generally multiple between 7 and 8 grains per pound - so at 70 pounds x 7.5 grains = 525 grain arrow. Some people will go heavier than this, and some lighter. I personally think 450 grains is plenty, and have even hunted with 350 grains with great success because of my broadhead combination with the arrows.
