2) If you already have it downloaded, run the Visual Studio Installer and make sure you have these add-ons:

4) Get access to Unreal Engine source repository:

5) Once you have access, you can download Unreal Engine from GitHub. If you don’t have access, this link will not work and you’ll get a 404 message:

6) Get 7Zip:


We take the Unreal Engine project we’ve been working on and convert it to source. In part 1 we learn how to obtain access to Epic’s official GitHub repository. We also discuss some of the requirements to make Visual Studio work with Unreal Engine.
