Parade without a permit

In 2007 April 19th, A group of activist and activist groups including TimesUp put together several actions to challenge New York City's permitting process. Even though the constitution says you have the freedom to assemble in America, New York City was saying that if over fifty people assemble they needed a permit, And in a public park it was twenty people. These laws are constantly being challenged by activists and constitutional lawyers such as Norman Segal.
