Police released surveillance video that showed Hussie Outing III, 47, shoving the 14-year-old boy onto the tracks at Metro’s Pershing Square Station on December 19, 2018.
In the video, a man is seen tackling the teenager just before they both go crashing onto the tracks as several shocked commuters rushed over to help.
According to police, Outing was able to make it back on the platform on his own.
But the teenager had to be helped back onto the platform by witnesses just moments before a train arrived.
The 14-year-old was treated for minor injuries and released at the scene.
Surveillance video then shows Outing fleeing the scene by running up a set of stairs at the Metro station.
