Six Cong MLAs skip the session, keeping the ruling coalition on the edge

Joint Houses of the Legislature witnessed uproarious scenes with the Opposition BJP members succeeded in forcing Governor Vajubhai Vala to cut short his speech, and end it abruptly. As the protests grew louder, Vala flipped to the last page of the 22-page booklet and wrapped up his speech in a few minutes
The commotion began after as many as six Congress MLAs abstained from the session, along with two independent members. The BJP members were heard shouting slogans that the government had no moral right to continue as their own MLAs have expressed no confidence in Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy. They also shouted that the government had lost the majority and it’s making the Governor read a bunch of lies. As the joint session began with the Governor’s address, rumours were flying thick and fast that 10 Congress MLAs were absent.
