What's going on guys! In today's video I'm going to give you the BIGGEST mistake you're making during shoulder workouts.
When trying to get wider shoulders, you're going to be targeting that medial head of the deltoid and typically you'll be doing some dumbbell lateral raises (a great exercise) but you can make it better!
The main downfall of using free weights is that you have areas of the exercise where you aren't going to be working the muscle like you could if you were using a machine or a cable. A cable allows pulling from multiple directions at the same time versus a dumbbell, which will drop straight down with gravity.
Instead, grab a cable and place it at the lowest point on the tower. This cable will be pulling not only from the bottom up but also from the side, which will allow for more tension on the deltoid.
