In a move to protest against market inspector fish vendors from Mapusa fish market gathered in Mapusa Muncipality. They have already filed a complaint against market supervisor and had threatened to shut down the market.
Intervening the issue, the CO has stated that vendors should maintain discipline, cleanliness and follow municipality rules. Stating that the inspector is performing his duties, the dispute has to be resolved by mutual understanding.
