Today's video discusses being ready and self-reliance.
What does it mean to be "ready"?
What does it mean to be "self-reliant"?
Join me as we discuss the journey toward self-reliance. Being ready does not mean that we do not need to gather a supply of food, water, medicines, or other items required to survive an emergency. Quite the opposite. Especially not during the early stages of an emergency. I hope I clear up some possible misconceptions that may have been taken away from these videos.
To be clear, everyone should have at least a minimum amount of supplies on hand at any time. How much is "minimum"? My recommendation is at least 2 months. According to the report published by DHS, minimum should be 6 months. Optimally, again in my opinion, everyone should have 9 to 12 months.
This may not be possible for everyone, but it is a good goal to set. A year's worth of supplies can provide some "breathing room" should things really go bad (SHTF, TEOTWAWKI), in order to establish your own resources (plant, hunt, etc.). This just one of reasons you should have a supply of resources.
