Good News Denis Suarez still on course to join Arsenal this January

Arsenal and Barcelona continue to negotiate as they look to find a way to get Denis Suarez to London.
Arsenal are broke, at least until the summer, so they are looking for loans in January. Barcelona, however, want cold, hard cash for their player and the two sides are still finding a way to make that work.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the player has “a foot and a half outside the club,” while “the two clubs are still negotiating and hope to reach an agreement next week.”
They continue, “The presence of Emery and the style of play of Arsenal are two of the arguments that have weighed in the election of Denis, who has rejected the interest of other clubs. Some of them were even willing to pay the transfer now.”
Suarez added to the speculation surrounding his future on Thursday night, by impressing on the pitch for Barcelona and then ‘liking’ a number of tweets that suggested he’s on the way out.
After Suarez was left out of the Barcelona squad last weekend, it was a bit of a surprise to see him brought back into contention for the midweek Copa Del Rey match against Levante on Thursday.
The 25-year-old began the game on the bench, but with his team 2-0 down, manager Ernesto Valverde decided to give Suarez a chance.
The Spaniard didn’t waste the opportunity, making an impressive run down the right-hand side to win a penalty and cut the deficit to one goal. Barcelona should have no trouble overturning that deficit at Camp Nou in the second leg.
