That would suggest a move is close with suggestions a deal could be wrapped up this weekend. Fabregas was allowed to leave this week, joining Monaco for £10m, and Maurzio Sarri would like to replace him. Trending Sarri is also keen on a striker with Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud misfiring up top. Chelsea are in action today against Newcastle as they look to fend off pressure from Manchester United. Arsenal’s defeat at West Ham allows Chelsea the chance to open up a six point lead over them in fifth. They could also move to within one point of Tottenham until they play United tomorrow.
