AB Calculus Notecard 1, Average and Instantaneous Speed

This first notecard lesson explains how the slope or rate of change of a secant line, or a line between two points of a function, can be used to approximate an instantaneous rate of change, or the slope of a tangent line at a point. The instantaneous rate of change is more closely approximated the closer the change in x is to zero.
