Been using your Galaxy Note 9 for too long. I bet you’ve not used 80% of features I talk about in this video.
Customize AOD
Put up GIFs and customized AMOLED images as always on display images. There’s a limited set of GIFs already in the Galaxy Note 9 under the lock screen always on clock styles. For more AMOLED always on display wallpaper, download and install Walloop. Go into gallery, hit menu and set it as always on display image.
Bixby Vision
You have in built image analyzer in the Note 9 camera. It’s called Bixby vision and it is very underrated. First of all, there is a QR code mode built in. There’s also a food camera that identifies the food and the nutritional value. You could also download more bixby AI plugins like ado be scan, amazon assistant and samsung mall and scan documents, visiting cards and save directly to contacts, look for an item on amazon and so on.
Get EdgeLighting+
The Note 9 by default comes with 4 edge lighting styles. However, if you download EdgeLighting+ from the Galaxy App store, which by the way is a Samsung app, you get access to 5 more edge lighting styles that are also customizable and unique. Obviously, very very few people know about this and you’d be one of the really rare Note 9 users to have this on your smartphone.
Extract Text
The Note 9 allows you to extract text from ANY image! Just take a picture of anything that has text in it and then use pull your S Pen out, open air command and tap on smart select and draw a rectangle around the area where you want to extract text from. Then tap on Extract text - now you can copy it and paste it wherever you want.
Get a Dark theme
Dark themes are not only easier on the eyes but also save you some battery life through the day. Plus they look really good. Dark theme would change the way you native apps like phone, contacts, notification panel and settings would look. There are a bunch of dark or black themed themes available the in theme store - some of them are really funky if that’s your taste. Some allow you to download their trial and trying them out before you actually buy them for less than a dollar - but I think the experience is completely worth it.
Navigation Gestures
Navigation gesture is a new way navigate the home, back and recent apps keys. Though it comes as a way to navigate in all the new Android smartphones with Android pie, but the Note 9 is scheduled to receive the Pie update in Mar 2019. So until then, feel free to install Fluid Navigation Gestures. The link to the video with the instructions are below:
