The Lord’s Supper
1 Cor. 11:23-27

The Lord’s Supper
In John 6 Christ has presented Himself to the Jewish people as the _____ of ____.
Jesus has emphasized two things here: unless you can accept the incarnation and accept the blood atoning death you won’t have life.
When we were saved those ______ became part of us.
This act which we take part in today is an outward symbol of an inward reception.
Today we celebrate with hope; hope that this will be the last time we celebrate here; that the next time we celebrate this Supper we celebrate it in His Kingdom.
Paul is saying that this isn’t my opinion, this isn’t my idea, and this isn’t a tradition or a ritual. This is from the ____ and now I deliver it to you.
Most conservative theologians would agree that 1 Corinthians was written before any of the _______ and thus this is the first time that the details of the Lord’s Supper have been shared in a written format.
Are we worthy?
Our worthiness today depends on the transaction of the moment, not the quality of the week gone by.
We bring to the table our sin. See that's the point of the table. It is a __________ of our sin.
If you are a child of God I think you “should” partake of this table today. Don’t ______ it, ____ it.
God wants you to be worthy today. So take care of whatever needs to be taken care of.
What greater picture do you want than this; to accept Jesus as your Lord, or to get your life right?
He is worthy of all our praise!
