Barcelona had been toying with the idea of selling Ousmane Dembele after links with a stunning deal to secure the return of Brazil international Neymar. Neymar joined PSG from Barca in 2016 after four impressive seasons in Spain. The forward forced a move to France with the hope of guiding PSG to a Champions League title but has failed to do so in his two seasons at the Parc des Princes. Rumours of a spectacular return to the Nou Camp have now been quashed, which in turn has seems to have ruled out any chance of Dembele moving to Anfield. Spanish outlet Cadena SER have claimed that sources close to the club are aware that Dembele will be a Barcelona player next season and he has been informed of that decision. The 22-year-old was linked with Klopp’s side after their recent Champions League final victory. The youngster would be a fine addition to a front line that already includes Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, and Team Talk have claimed that Barcelona could have a change of heart over if the right money is offered. Their report claims that if Barca can get the initial fee of £90million that they paid Borussia Dortmund for his signing in 2017, then they could be convinced to sell. Barcelona club president Josep Maria Bartomeu has made his thoughts over Dembele clear in recent months, and confirmed that he has no desire to sell the player. "We are happy with what we have,” he told E in April. “Dembele is better than Neymar and he is a good professional player. "He is a young guy who arrived at a huge club and that's not easy, but he has adapted and he is much better than Neymar.” One player that is unlikely to join Liverpool is Lyon’s Nail Fekir, after his agent slammed the club for a breakdown in talks last summer. Jean-Pierre Bernes said: “It is not about staying here. "And we will know maybe the real circumstances that prevented Fekir’s move to Liverpool. The knee was a part of it, but not only that. “He had passed a medical, done photos with the Reds shirt…”
