Check Hyperice Hypervolt for proper working order and battery installation

This video shows how to properly insert the battery for the Hyperice Hypervolt and make sure it's fully inserted and properly "locked" in place. Also shows the normal working operation of the Hypervolt.
I made this video because I got a Hypervolt for my mother and hers was not functioning properly on the day she received it. After charging it up, the unit would often not switch on and when it did switch on, it would work fine on speed level 1 and 2 but then shut off almost immediately when switching to level 3 ( I wanted to make sure she had installed the battery properly and fully with it "locked" into place. I live in a different country so could not assist my mother in person so this video was the next best thing. The next day (after I shot this video), the bottom of the battery where the green-lighted ring is came apart showing the internal components so at that point we knew we had received a defective unit (photos: I just emailed Hyperice to see what the next steps are to get a replacement unit.
Unfortunately, I ordered through a seller on Amazon Marketplace and they are only willing to ship a replacement unit after they receive the defective unit back, at our expense. I would have ordered from Hyperice directly from their website but they only accept US-based credit cards and since I've lived outside the US for more than 25 years, I don't have any US-based credit cards anymore (even though I'm American and was born and raised in the US).
I ordered a 2nd Hypervolt from the same Amazon Marketplace seller and that unit arrived in good working order. Note that this is my 3rd Hypervolt purchase since I bought one for myself in the country I reside in. While not cheap, I think they are a perfect gift for a close family member or loved one.
Hyperice's support ( while friendly and nice, is super slow in responding. In early Jan 2019, I tried calling them 3 times and, each time, my call went straight to an automated pre-recorded message. Their "CHAT NOW" button (green color) actually does not work. My email to them on Jan 1, 2019 (ticket 79780) which goes through a Zendesk ticketing system was only responded to on Jan 16, 2019 (over 2 weeks to respond) and their response was just, "Hi there! HypericeIce.com doesn't ship internationally or process International cards. Thank you for reaching out and we hope you have a great day! H Y P E R I C E I N C . Customer Experience Representative".
[Jan 29, 2019] I can only hope that our warranty claim with Hyperice for the defective unit goes well. Hoping for a good outcome. Fingers crossed! Will be updating this...
